Last quarter (4Q19) I focused King of Leisure on 2 things: product management and manufacturing. After a year of working together, I realized that Shoemakers of Los Angeles (https://www.shoemakersla.com/) was not THE partner for me – moving on. Secondly, why not consider Italy for manufacturing? I mean, my Colorado License plate does say Italian American! Milan here I come!

Meet Dani (above) – one fateful February AM we met at his shop in Queens. We had connected weeks earlier, but face-to-face is the preferable way to conduct business. Now we are partners and new friends. Stay tuned on Iteration 3.0 & 3.5 of the “Winston” boot.

Secondly, I plan on attending the renowned Arsutoria school. They have a “start-up your own shoe brand” course and, as a perpetual learner, I will be attending to meet with factories in Italy and hopefully scale my product.
